Through illustrations, drawings, paintings, and meaningful quotations, I aim to express the feelings, moods, and emotions that often remain hidden beneath the surface .

I believe that when people openly share difficult experiences, we inspire healing. Not just healing within ourselves, but in those who see and resonate with the work. When people suddenly discover they’re not alone, your NOT the only one thinking like you do, as was my experience, its an enormous relief.

Your Presence Matters

Your visit here means more than you imagine. I invite you to explore the gallery and, if something speaks to you, consider sharing it with others. Whether you pass along this website or purchase artwork, every interaction makes a difference. I appreciate your time, attention, and support. Art thrives when it touches lives and creates ripples beyond the work itself. Art has this potential, to spark conversations and provide comfort to those who feel alone in their struggles.

Have you seen artwork that has stopped you in your tracks?

That’s the Magic of Art — it bridges gaps, connects people, and fosters shared understanding of complex issues such as the human experience.

Art isn’t just a mirror mirror of life; it’s a tool for healing, expression, and connection. Artists can transform their struggles into visual stories that resonate deeply with others. Through this lens, art and art galleries becomes a powerful force to heal people. Dismantling stigma, especially around mental health, and shedding light on unspoken emotions and experiences is important work.

I’m Bert—the artist, designer and builder of this website and art gallery. I’m grateful you’re here. The purpose behind this online space, Bert.ForSale is a personal journey shaped by my own mental health experiences, vulnerability, courage, and the desire to connect and heal with others through creativity.

This website and art gallery represent two years of persistence.

I was thinking about building , creating, and sharing despite the internal fears that often held me back. Vulnerability isn’t easy. For most of my life, fear kept me frozen, hesitant to let my work be seen. There were countless times I started with enthusiasm, only to feel the excitement fade. Like a balloon slowly deflating after a celebration, drifting back to familiar places of doubt because they felt safe.

Facing Fear: The Artist’s Challenge

Giving up often feels like the safest move when fear grips you tight. It creates an illusion of safety and protection, convincing you that staying hidden is easier simply because if feels safe. I know that feeling so very well because its impact on my life has been larger than I care to admit, but there it is. Although fear, while honest in its intentions, often shows up in the wrong moments—especially when we need our courage the most.

Thank you for being part of this journey.  I appreciate you.

Be well,
Bert
